Bought a 4runner! Question....

I just bought a new 4 runner- a 98 limited 4x4. Just got back from picking it up in NJ.

I have a question about the steering wheels. Is the 2001 limited steering wheel the same as the 98 limited?

In '98 they went with the 4 spoke design and I think it lasted the rest of the generation.

also, will I mess up the 4x4 components by clicking the 4x4 button while driving or does it only engage when its in nuetral.

It's on the go 4x4 so you can while you're driving. But my '98 advises only to do so at 25mph or less I believe.

Do you have the slide-in card on your drivers visor ? It tells all you need to know about 4x4

Only 4lo has to be engaged in neutral. I personally slow down under 20 before I engage 4hi since it's nice to be on the safe side.
