After having an AWFUL experience owning a 2000 Ford F-150, I finally sold it and went on an 11 month-long car search (not having a car in college sucks by the way). I ended up buying a 1997 4Runner SR5. Could not be happier. The reason I'm posting on here is to be honest I don't know much about 4Runners and mine needs some help.
First off if anyone has a PDF or link of the FSM for a 97 4Runner and could send it my way, that'd be awesome! Being a college student, I can't seem to fork up 200 bucks for the book.
I had a toyota dealer technician do a pre-purchase inspection just to make sure I knew what I was getting myself in to. He said the rear springs are need to be replaced. I have searched on here and read about the rear sag issue that is very common in 3rd gen 4runners. Just need some clarification please. What springs would you recommend I buy? Would newer 3rd gen 4runner springs work and lift the back a little higher than the buying '97 springs?
I'd also like to get really nice floor mats, weathertech maybe? Anyone have those? What would you guys recommend I buy? $30 Walmart ones just don't cut it for me.
The power antenna is also broken. My radio sounds a little fuzzy and I'd really like to get it fixed. After reading on here, I saw replacing it is kind of a pain. Should I do the tacoma mod?
