We've talked a lot over the years about Landcruisers, and 4runner's, etc. I just end up with new screen names because a computer fails and I can't remember the pass word

Oh, of course, i remember Pitbull! Welcome back...again.
I totally agree with getting extended warranty on a luxury car...and a car from MB for sure. Anything from MB parts bin is ultra-expensive! Trust me, i have been thru the bin several times to replace minor parts damaged from off-roading...none of it was under $200! Even the plastic endcap on the bumper is over $200/each!
The SL is rock solid and a beautiful car (top 3 most beautiful IMHO)...hopefully, the electronics issues won't be too much of a hassle...but that's why you have extended warranty.
