Bought the Toyota "Xtreme" Cargo Mat...What a POS

For anyone considering Toyota's "Xtreme" cargo mat.....don't. I received mine today and it's a piece of junk. I thought the quality would be on par with Toyota's all weather floor mats. Nope. While the floor mats are heavy rubber and fit well, the Xtreme mat is thin plyable plastic, doesn't fit well and seems very cheap. I know it's a third party vendor that supplies the Xtreme mat, but Toyota shouldn't distribute it.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a quality rubber cargo mat ? I need something to keep computers from sliding around (for side work) and general use. I'd like something with a raised lip for occasional wet stuff.

Yeah, I did a number of searches here before buying the Xtreme mat. I saw where a number of owners were happy with their Husky or Weathertech mats. I just thought rubber would be better for computers rather than molded plastic.

I just flipped my carpet mat upside down and it keeps everything from sliding around is rubber backed and cost $0.00.

May work for you. I transport computer stuff all the time and have had 0 problems.

I'm very happy with my CargoLogic mat (pictured in this thread). The velcro blocks are awesome for keeping things from sliding around. If the only reason you're looking at the rubber mat is for grip, then I'd recommend checking this out as an alternative.

I have the Xtreme cargo mat. When I first got it I thought it was kind of cheap and light. After some use, the Xtreme mat really isn't that bad. The surface is non-slip, and despite being thin, it is pretty durable. My only criticism is the lip not being high enough and can't handle large spills.

I had a Husky cargo liner before, although it has a high lip and durable, everything slides around not like the Xtreme cargo mat. Overall, the Xtreme mat serves its purpose well. I've been happy with it.

I've been very happy with the Husky Mat. It handles the dog (Lab), catches spills well and is very easy to take out and hose off. Things sliding around aren't usually a problem but when it is I use the non skid rubber cupboard liner you can get by the roll from Wal-mart. You might find it in the RV area of the auto department, used for keeping things from sliding around and falling out of cupboards and countertops in RV's. Many uses in the vehicles and it's cheap. It'll keep stuff from sliding around on the carpet mat too. Also very effective for keeping things from sliding around in the boat.
