So I recall someone's rig with a sequoia gauge cluster or something and I'm itching to do it. Anyone know how to do this?

OR

could I swap a 99 guage cluster into my 97?? I know it's no piece of cake but I'm just wondering if I could even attempt this.

It was Singtoe that did it. I know he had some issues with the temp gauge but he eventually figured it out.

As far as the 99+ clusters, if you want to retain odometer I think you would have some issues.

Hmm I how someone can chime in on the 99 dash maybe.

There is actually a law about how to post/mark the actual miles... It's a sticker in the drivers door, IIRC.

I also think you are going to run into some difficulties with the sequoia cluster if you try to do it. The cluster was made for the v8 sequoia engine and ecu. It would almost be impossible in my mind. Just my $.02

Good to know that. I'd heard he did it, but nothing other than that. That scenario makes WAY more sense than anything I've heard so far.

Exactly. Singtoe did it as part if the entire swap. It works with the Sequioa ECU.

Just keep what you have. With 360K on it, does it really make sense to spend all that time & money on a cluster swap?

I just like the better readouts and more options. But I guess I'll keep it.
