Boxed UCA???

I had a quick question to see what you guys thought. I have boxed arms before on different cars on stock UCA and LCA's.

What do you guys think of boxing the stock UCA on the 4th gen? I think it might be a good alternative or lower cost mod than the Camburgs and TC set ups.

Cheers Guys!

No one?? I think this would be a great idea for those who dont want to spend 600 bucks on UCA yet.

What would the point of boxing them be? Strength?

If so, I do not think it is necessary since I have yet to see anyone really damage a stock UCA. The advantage of aftermarket UCA's for our trucks is that it allows for you to get your alignment back into spec if you are lifting more than 3 inches. Also with some coilovers (like mine) I need to have aftermarket otherwise the stock UCA actually contacts the coilover.

Light Racing UCA are boxed and not as pricey as the other two brands you mentioned. I paid about 390 shipped for LR UCAs that have extra camber adjustment.

Not worth boxing up stock UCAs IMO, unless you are handy with a welder!

Sorry for the late response.

Yes strength and I havent seen a damaged one either.

Perfect answers I was just seeing what people thought. I have seen the upright gusset kit for the stock uprights so I just going down that thought process.

I forgot that you can get the alignment out of the upgraded UCA's.
