Brake booster assy

Does anyone know for sure if any of the 4th gen brake booster assemblies (and master cylinder assembly for that matte) will work on an 08 4Runner? I need a new one and found a pretty good price on a 2005 (both trucks are v6's, if it matters).

it looks like they changed up the assembly in 06 the complete assembly part number changes between 05-06. 05's and older use p/n: 050-60081 06's and newer use 050-35031. not sure what the differences are though. this is per info on the previous listed link

Thanks aha2988, I'm looking though at just the booster/accumulator (p/n 070-60030 - replaced by 070-60050), which is the same for the '05 and '08.

Reason I'm looking at replacing is that I'm getting a weird noise from that area and I think I've narrowed it down to the following: Basically what happens is that the booster pump fills the accumulator like it's supposed to, but then fluid leaks back past the one-way valve/booster pump (i.e. whatever is in between the MC reservoir and the accumulator that helps keep pressure in the accumulator). This results in the booster pump kicking on about every 20-30 seconds, even when the truck is in park. I know that the pump is supposed to kick on to fill the accumulator, but then it is only supposed to kick back on after several brake pumps - i.e. when the brake pressure in the accumulator gets low. Right now I can hear the brake fluid squeezing back into the reservoir...interestingly, I can't hear it as well when it gets cold out and the viscosity increases just enough to slow the leaking fluid and thus decrease the sound.
 
right on like i said i didnt know what the differences were i just looked at the main complete assembly. It sounds like your aware but i was gonna say FYI before removing the actuator or acumulator whatever its called the silver canister that becomes pressurized be sure to give that truck like 30-40 brake pedal pumps with the ignition off to release all the pressure I wana say when those things are full of pressure they run up close to 2500 psi :toilet: lol

but a question.

My 2003 T4R Sport has a whistling noise inside coming from dash area... book manual says it's most likely the brake booster. Can I repair (or rebuild) existing assembly or is totally required that I replace the entire brake booster assembly with mc as well?

I have a spare one from a late
model 05. Yes it makes a difference I needed one for my 03. The the guy said it would work but 03 to early 05 are the same. I'm it for $400 and could ship. Still looking for a good 03 too.

Is the noise inside the vehicle or outside of it? Not entirely sure what could cause a whistling noise on a non-vacuum assisted booster assembly.
