Brake "CLANK" once after shifting from park

Hey all. When I shift out of park to either drive or reverse, release foot brake, truck moves a few feet, then I step on the brakes, I hear a single "CLANK." Seems to be coming from the front. After that there's no more noise. No other issues with steering nor suspension. Drives perfect. Brakes quiet, smooth, no clank. Also seems to happen when it's been sitting awhile, like a few hours.

I've read that some say it's normal. Others that something such as a pin or spring is loose or missing. Thoughts?

Normal. It's just the pads shifting in place. It'll do it once going in reverse and then once again the first time you hit the brakes sometimes in drive. You can apply grease sometimes to the sides of the pad plate and that can help a little, but it's not a safety issue.

Check your brake hardware, there are a set of flat springs and little pad spreaders that help prevent that, a lot of times after a few brake jobs they wear out or go missing. Its not a safety issue.
