Brake controller that fits OEM harness?

Anyone know of a brake controller that fits the OEM harness? I have a 2003 V6 4x4.

I am aware that I could splice it in however I'm looking for a clean install that could be removed quickly if needed.

You are supposed to splice the Toyota pigtail that plugs into the wiring harness that was provided with the towing package to the brake controller. I found one in one of the cubbies in the back and had no idea what it was for until I took it into the parts department and asked them what it was. I haven't found any info on how to connect it to the controller though.

OP...do you have this??

If you don't have the pig tail that came with the 4R I know Tekonsha who makes the Prodigy mentioned above makes custom harnesses that plug in to the factory harness. Otherwise it's a pretty straight forward splicing job I took my time and heat shrinked the splices and the put some black wire conduit over it to tidy it up.

How did you figure out which wires to connect together? Do the colors match or what?

hmmm now I will have to double check to see if this is what I have. I looked under my dash and found something that I thought was the OEM harness. I was looking right by the parking brake. Unfortunatly I have an aftermarket alarm system so its pretty busy under the dash.

Would you happen to have a pic of where that harness plugs into?

The harness shown is not located under the dash, it is included with the tow package when vehicle came new from the stealer. You can splice it into the harness that comes with the controller. The harness I posted is plug & play from Prodigy to the Toyota connector under the dash. It is usually located behind the kick panel on the driver's side under the dash. Hope this helps!

Ahh ok I get it know. Thanks for clearing that up. I assume my T4R has the tow package. It has a tow hitch and it also has the 7 plug round connecter.

Any complaints about your Prodigy P3?

thanks for all the help Koz. I have read through a few of those reviews on amazon. With some googling I found it with the harness for $135 shipped.

Im not in a position to go take a pic but check out this page, there's a few pics to show you where the connector is thanks to CJ3flyr.

did you already buy the item? i have one sitting in my garage that is brand new, the p3, with the adapter for the 4runner. i bought it because i was changing a lot of things so i could tow a decent sized trailer. i have no need for it now and would sell it for a good price. let me know.
