I haven't changed out the fluid in my truck yet, but I really ought to get to doing it. Any DOT 3 or 4 fluid should be ok. I've heard good things about the valvoline syn power: http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/product_detail.asp?product=51

I use ATE (super blue or super yellow) brake fluid. Very high boiling point and less water adsorption. I use a 'Mighty Vac' bleeder. Easy to bleed brakes with one person. Empty the MC with a turkey baster and fill with blue. Starting with the caliper furthest away, draw a vacuum and open the bleeder. Keep pulling until the fluid is dark blue. Then re-fill the MC and proceed to the next caliper.
I usually flush the fluid every 2 to 3 years. After a blue fill I will then use the ATE Yellow for the next. Just a lot easier to see when the line has been fully flushed.

Oh I forgot to mention in my original post that I use the old pump and bleed technique too. With a bike it's easier to do by yourself but on a car I find it's easier with two people. Un
