brake help....

I am going to buy new brake pads and rotors before I throw on some 33s. I know as far as rotors slotted and drilled but what is going to be best bang for my $ far as pads and rotors?

I personally just ordered a bunch of stuff from Advanced auto parts online because there having a nice $50 off anything over $100 and free shipping.

I just bought Wagner brand Thermoquiet Pads and rotors( From what i understand Wagner is one of the best) I also bought NGK plugs, NGK wires, and a puralator air filter for $300 shipped. I thought that was a pretty decent deal. Check it out. I really dont know which brand of pads and rotors are closest to OEM but Wagner is supposed to be good. I hear good things about Brembo also.

this place is supper cheap. i was expecting to spend more. i cant find any sloted and drilled rotors on here though

I think a good set of WAGNERS will do you just fine, get them for a 2001 Tundra. They are bigger rotors, also get the pads for the 2001 Tundra. They should last you alot longer than the stock 4R pads and rotors.

i would but i need a set of 17" rims

i already bought a pair of 16"

i was watching xtreme 4x4 and saw a comercial for EBC brakes
so i looked them up and went ahead and bought a pair of the slotted and drilled with ebc pads as well.

I was talking to shawn because he mentioned pads and rotors and not calipers. Your stock calipers will not work with this setup so unless you're prepared to buy calipers as well dont go that route.

88Rotors.com has drilled and slotted rotors for $160 with PBR Semi-Metallic pads (picked up price of course). However I'm sure they do shipping.

And they use Brembos for there rotors

ya dont get hawk brake pads i got some on closeout for like 20 bucks there soo freaking dusty my wheels are red in a week gonna throw them away and get some oem's

Why are you wanting them drilled and slotted?

Drilled and slotted are good for race cars but not the best for trucks, I like the solid faced rotors that can't get mud, dirt caked in the slots or holes.

The ones i bought are ment for towing. Dunno to much about the dust but they are suppose to stop in shorter time the stock.
