Brake line question

If I was going to pay a mechanic to replace all the brake lines on my 99 4wd Limited, what do you think is a fair price? I'd do it myself -- I don't think it's that hard, but I don't really have time and the lines are pretty beat up in some places. Are stainless steel lines much more than an OEM type replacement?

Thanks!

Plan on it being around $500-$1000 in labor alone, as replacing all the brakelines is quite labor intensive. Stay away from using stainless for sure, unless it is prebent, flared and ready to just install. Stainless is much harder to flare and bend just right. The good news is there is a nickel-alloy brakeline out these days that is a bit more pricey than the steel line, but flares/bends very nicely and does not rust away. Most reputable auto parts stores sell it by the roll.
