Brake Line Replacement

When me and my buddy installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5 we left the one bracket that holds the brake line off because it seemed to really pull the brake line when we tried to bolt the bracket back on. Well my brake line broke last night and has sprayed brake fluid everywhere. Its broke right where it connects to the caliper. Toyota quoted me $310 to fix it! They said the part is inexpensive but the labor is high. Does this sound right to you guys?..... Can't they just replace the section of line that is broke, especially since it is in an open area?

Yes and no... installing the line is easy, bleeding the ABS system after potentially introducing large quantities of air into the solenoid pack is not.

The system will be scantool driven to bleed all 4 calipers, the master cylinder, and the ABS solenoid pack of all air pockets. That takes time and a bit of brake fluid. Sounds like they are only charging you around an hour of labor.
