Brake question

Just had napa ultra premium rotors, oem pads and calipers put on the truck (front)
2003 v8 limited. Just wondering how 'firm' the brakes feel in your runners? I feel like it's still too soft, and the pedal goes too far down.
My other vehicle is an e90 bimmer, and that thing stops on a dime and feels like you're kicking a cinder block when you put the pedal down far!

I have an 03 V8 Sport Edition that had the calipers replaced last spring, both fronts. The brakes were bled afterwards and new OEM pads and rotors were installed (i was giving it to my wife).

The calipers Toyota had were just too damn much coin, so I had my personal mechanic install A1 Carbone's put on for $600 for the pair. Toyota service bled and did the install of the rotors and pads, but after they bled and serviced it, the pressure was still no where near what it once was. I asked the head tech about that and he said that once you replace any part of a brake system, its never truely as firm as it once was.

When the personal mechanic didnt quite get the pressure where it should be (i dont think he bled it right) the Toyota tech did it right and it improved big time. Again, not as good as my 08, but it stops just fine and is safe.

There's probably air still in the lines and/or stuck in the ABS modulator. I replaced my calipers a few years ago and my pedal is like it was new.

Had mine done about a year ago and it has never been the same as original. Brought it back to the dealer and they say they rebled the entire system and the pedal is still low.

You can always replace your brake line w/ stainless braided tubes...I haven't done it myself, but that is supposed to get rid of a lot of the expansion in the rubber lines that can lead to a mushy feel.
