Brake/Tail light problems

I appreciate the help , but I'm a noob and to be honest I don't know what you mean by all grounds are common, also do you think one ground would be messing up all broke lights and not the tail light itself.

I mean all the grounds goto the chassis [ body and frame]

If you have a trailer hitch in a taillight I definitely throughly clean that and make sure your wiring is good. Your trailer hitch plug on the hitch has to be kept clean as well.

It's ok. We all have to learn at some time..

One ground off a light should mess up that light only as I think the grounds are separate per light.

Have any photos of these trailer adapter in the light?

When I get out of work today I will try and take photo's and get a brand name or something out of it to update you.
I think the actual connector with the cover for the trailer harness was exposed (Cover was off connector) when the problem first started so I will try and clean that up real good also .
If I wanted to, there should be some way to test whether or not the actual trailer harness is not properly functioning with a multimeter tester right?

That happens alot. I put new covers on mine as my 98 Tetanus 1 adapter was burned out. Toyota dosent have that part number for that adapter. So if yours is gone. You have to by used or use a 3rd party trailer hitch adapter that connects to the passenger side instead of driver side.

similar issue with my 3rd gen 4runner. Recently I replaced the rear bulbs for both my taillights and turn signals and ran into some issues which have been fixed BUT, my left taillight wont work but the brake light that shares the same bulb still works perfectly fine. I dont have a lot of money or parts or tools along with all the issues my car has... sooooooooo..... any suggestions?

The filament in the bulb for the tail light could be bad even if it looks fine...or the bulb is possibly not making a good connection in the socket.

Switch the bulb with the one from the right side and see if you still have the same issue.

Tail and turn bulbs are very similar - make sure the dual filament bulb was put in the tail light socket and the single filament bulb was put in the turn signal socket. If they were installed opposite, it would act like you describe.

Well the thing is im using the same bulbs in the opposite taillight/brake light and turn signal and they work perfectly fine. Im honestly thinking its a wire or its the connection with the taillight.
