I've had a two situations in the past 2 weeks where I had problems with braking pressure.
First I was coming to a stop at a stop sign and the slightest tap on the brake pedal jolted the truck to a stop and I had to virtually lunge to the corner because a slow controlled stop was not possible. I was on flat ground coming to a stop from about 30mph. It only happened at that stop and the rest of my ride was normal.
Second, yesterday, I was leaving my parking lot after work and I came to a stop and was waiting to make a left turn. Again, I was on level ground but as I was sitting there waiting to make the turn, I started drifting forward and I had to apply additional pressure to keep the truck stopped. By the time I was able to make the turn, I was out of my seat standing on the brake pedal just to keep me stopped. The rest of the way home, at each stop I was fine and then I noticed that the pedal was slowly sinking in further and further.
Any ideas what is happening here? I'd like to have an informed opinion before taking it in for service.
