BRAND NEW Rock Slider Surface Rust Issues

I have a set of five year old sliders, they have surface rust in the knooks and crannies. They stayed rust free for a few years, it was honestly more than I expected out of it. I have had quite a few powder coated things, they all rust here, eventually.

Solid powder coat is all about the surface prep, oily or dirty surface corrupt the process, guaranteed those of us they buy in group buys there are going to some products that didn’t get fully treated.

If it is as bad as the OP says yeah they should refund the cost of the pc job.

Waiting on a response.

Not posting photos or the like until I hear back. I want to give the company a chance to make things right. If the issue isn't resolved in a fair manner, I will definitely share my experience in detail so the community does not have to deal with the same issues I'm experiencing. Thanks for your feedback and patience.

I've been there. I held off on posting anything too negative about a particular company until I got my product, because the vendor frequented this site and was always super defensive *cough cough* Aiden James Customs *Cough*. I would absolutely expect to get burned even worse by him if I trash talked him too hard.

In the end, I would still publish the vendor name. If they make it 100% right with you, then it's honestly just good advertisement for them. Mistakes happen, and if they make you whole, then that's someone I would buy from. And we would obviously like to know who to avoid if they don't.

Yeah. BS to have anything start rusting through the PC or "factory" paint. Bare metal will rust (scratches, scrapes, chips, etc) but should not rust through the paint. I'd say they should pay shipping back to them, recoat them and ship them back. Or, just send you new ones for their mistake.

Time to reveal the company name and hope they see this and it forces them make changes in their approach to customer service. Sad that it takes social shaming to make folks own up to their mistakes.

I plan on publishing the vendor’s name either way. Like you said, if they stand behind their product, then it ends up good for them. Will reveal soon enough.
