Break Pads

I've been using Wagner OEx Ceramic on all vehicles.
Great stopping, long life, quiet and minimal dust.
BTW, Federal Mogul makes both the Oex and Akebono, with Oex being a hair less expensive.

So if Federal Mongul makes both the Wagner and Akebono then do you consider them to be on par with each other?

Have never used the Akebono, but they are both available in stock down the street from me here with only a dollar or two difference in price.

Unless you get into some special racing pads, I bet most ceramics are very comparable.

Pads

I used Akebono ProAct pads and centric premium coated rotors. Very happy with them. Front pads didn't come with new pins and springs. Purchased those at NAPA for $10.

Stick with the OEM, I've been running 250k miles and am only on my 3rd set. Here are the numbers confirmed to fit my 2012, and they appear to be available at mcgeorge.

04465-60320

2010-2022 Toyota 4Runner Brake Pads Rear 04466-60140 | Toyota Parts

2010-2019 Toyota 4Runner Brake Pads Front 04465-60320 | Toyota Parts

need to replace front pads soon

04465-AZ200 is this just the front pads
04465-60320 is the kit (pads, clips etc)

Went with 60320 kit and replacing rotors too, OEM parts were cheaper than auto parts stores.
