Breather Mod - Constructive Criticism

Hey 4Runner family,
Just did my rear differential breather relocation mod on my 2011 SR5. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on how/where I had chose to run my line up into the engine compartment. I didn't include the parts or part numbers as there are other threads with this information. Thanks.

1. From the diff housing I went up and over the round cross member
2. From cross member over the gas tank
3. From gas tank into the driver side rocker panel
4. Ran line along inside of rocker(used zip ties to secure line along rocker brackets)
5. From front of rocker to behind body mount
6. From body mount to behind that inner fender well flap
7. From flap into engine hugging the wheel well
8. From into engine/wheel well to behind power steering reservoir.
9. Attached to a stock bracket on power steering reservoir.

I left some extra line coiled up for when I put my rear long travel suspension set up on. When that goes on, I can account for how much further the rear axle flexes and can adjust and cut the line accordingly.

Normally we run the rear with some slack up the fuel line filler hose.

I hear it's best NOT to have the hose level out for fluid to sit in it, doesn't allow for proper ventilation.

I would reroute to the fuel filler and use the extra hose you have and do a transmission transfer case up to where you have your breather.

That line has a breather on the bell housing, you can feel it with your hand. The hose to that one is on a tee, by the transfer/trans and on the top passenger side. I'm on a gen4, but, should be similar.

Good to know, thanks. I've read about the transfer case/transmission breathers. I think I have enough line up high that fluid won't get far up the line.

Are you using the stock breather at the top of your line in the engine bay?
