My apologies for the delay in posting. We took a dual family trip to the Breck area last month with some wheeling, rafting, and hiking....followed by leaving the kids at the house and the adults visiting a spa for massages!!! YES!
In no particular order....well, other than me 1st...we ran Boreas Pass, Spruce Creek, South Fork Swan River up to Garibaldi Gulch (denied at the top), Galena Gulch (night run), Peru Creek and Chihuahua Gulch. As the snow melt was tremendous this year, several of the roads just had not been worked by Summit County and the highway to Montezuma has limited access due to a bridge washing out.
Here's one of me on one of the upper water crossings on Chihuaha Gulch. We drove up to the parking lot at 11,200' then hiked to 12,000'. This was on the way down.

Yes....even a snow recovery. After a few stabs through a deep drift on Garibaldi Gulch, I got stuck. After a lot of digging, my buddy was able to get by me to pull me out. Then we were denied from the summit only a few hundred yards later at 11,700'.

Even a Sasquatch sighting on Spruce Creek Trail!!! Not really....it is just my 6'3" 13 year old doing his best Squatch impersonation.

Mac & Cheese Pizza at Wyatts Pub....DELISH!!!
Did the Pikes Peak COG....had one of our kids puke at the top....it snowed on us at the top. Looked like Dippin Dots dropping from the sky. Too bad it didn't taste like it. Same kid puked when he got to the bottom. All was well after that. More pizza and some beers. Good to go.
