Brian4t - Not a build per se, two years and counting

I marked the two year ownership of my 2001 Limited. I've really enjoyed reading what everyone recommends and I've decided to post some old and new photos. My 4runner is my daily driver and I really don't do any hard core wheeling, but it does see the snow, dirt and sand (OBX, NC) a few times per year. I'm not planning on a build with a lift, ARB skids, bumper and so on. I'm gong for a tough look but I'm really keen on keeping the stock looks. So far:

1: Timing belt, water pump
2: Battery
3: New radio antenna, stock. Works very well
4: Iphone adapter into the stock deck, works well with DRIVE GPS
5: Taco stock skid plate. Does nothing I know but looks good
6: Stock size Grapplers, tossed old original spare and used newer old tire with good tread left.
7: Removed running board, Think it's growing on me.

I'm very particular about keeping a clean truck for a number of reasons so please don't knock that it's not covered in mud! :zoom:

Very sexy! I am like u, No lift. Basically stock besides a few bolt ons and love keeping her clean. You have done a great job.
Question. How do u clean ur carpet? Mine is all stained from the last owner.
One more thing. My redar detector is more towards the left in the windshield. (I hate the power cord over my touch screen). And the power cord is plugged in the far left plug. Idk if it matters to you but might give that a try. I don't think 8 inches makes much of a diffrance picking up KA or LASER signals.
Any thoughts?

Have u ever thought about tinting the front windows? The make such a big improvement on highway driving when the sun is beating down on you so you have the ac on but the passenger is freezing.

Have u ever thought about installing clear corners?

Thanks for the comments! I clean the carpets with a Bissell steam vac. Wife needed a spot cleaner for the carpets and I told her to go for it. I found a use for it as well.

As far as the detector I really don't think it makes much difference as long as it's centered give or take 6 inches or so. Here in NC they are basically useless on the highways, troopers use vascar so I know to slow down when I see the white lines on the highway.

The fronts are tinted as much as North Carolina allows. 25 or 30 if memory serves correctly. If I could do more I would.
