I know I have awhile. But I am thinking about getting this for my truck for my little one.

It comes with a built in DVD player and HDMI ports, and it also plays audio through either radio frequency (87.7-89.1 mHz) or RCA cables that I could wire into my head unit. However, does anyone know if I will have issues with my sunroof? I am only concerned about that. Has anyone tried installing a fold down in a 4Runner?

My dads 4runner has a fold down tv in his with a sunroof. Ill get some pics when I get home from work. But only thing that I didn't like about it was that he lost his dome light and has no light besides the rear hatch and above the mirror

Did you every make/mount the bracket for your .45? I've been trying to find a spot that will mount out of the way of my controls and my passengers. And most importantly not be considered concealed (but at the same time not just laying on the dash).

Thanks for the reply. That mount seems pretty cool, I'll look into that one. From the pic it looks like it could mount through the base and articulate at two points.

Hmm I like that mount. I am going more for the same idea you are but I like the idea of a quick access like that.

Or you can always steal a Heep center console or make one yourself and lock it in there when your not with it. For instance, keep a compact on you at all times, but your 1911 in your truck.

Hmmm I have thought about that but what I am wanting to do is make a center consult lock box to take the place of the stock bucked in the center consule. Keep it stealthy like.

Got my sliders for Christmas last year... and they FINALLY made it to my truck!! I can't believe it took 7 months to install these things..
I feel so lazy!

I have so many parts in my garage that stare at me when I get home, but I'm always too tired from work to even begin wrenching. One day I will install my front coils and new radiator.

Just going to throw this out there for general information.

Take it or leave it. The best place to carry a weapon in a vehicle is always on body. Second best place is the map pocket on the door on your left. It's the only place you can reach that a hitch hiker (Don't pick them up, just don't) or untrusted vehicle guest can't.

If you are going keep your weapon in that holster then I recommend doing it only while wheeling or out in the mountains. In town you either have to transition from the holster to on body when you get out of the truck or leave in there in plain site. Either way you are exposing your weapon when you have a perfectly good CCW permit. While it's okay to open carry in some states it can make shopping at Wal-Mart a bit awkward. Though you can't be fined for it, Wal-Mart can ask you to leave for scaring customers and can cause confusion with law enforcement.

If you immediately tell the officer that you have a gun and it's by you knee he may take it as a threat or he maybe not. If you don't and he sees it during his interview you can bet your ass he will be showing you his. Too many cops get shot as it is. They should know when they run your plates that the owner of the vehicle has a CCW permit. However that doesn't always happen. It's a gamble I'm not willing to take.

I won't go in to my personal feelings on the holster, the man can carry his weapon as he sees fit.That being said, I am a LEO 2 towns over from where OP lives. "Running tags" doesn't tell us whether or not the registered owner of the vehicle has a concealed permit. Only running his OL will notify us. Your best bet is to have your hands on the wheel and windows down as the officer approaches. Some stick them out the window but that can be concerning as I know if I see hands reaching out the window as I approach - I'm going to assume something bad is about to happen. VA law doesn't require you to notify but it's absolutely a good idea.

Preparing for some 35" A/T. I am wondering if I should actually do Goodyear Duratracs. I am also about to purchase 4.88s for this thing. I have a new DD in my near future.

Haha! Trust me, had I not known of a new front bumper in my future, I would've left the grinder in the garage.
I figured people would cringe at the sight of that. I am not a big fan of cutting up the aesthetics, but if they're in the way between me and a new set of 35's, they're gone! Thank you by the way.

TEAM HIDUST IS FULL OF INCOMPETENT MORONS... Just for a future reference for anyone trying to work with them in the Hampton Roads area.

Finally got my springs installed, and I like the ride much better. The stiffer ride feels safer.
This means the 35's are coming close. (Of course pictures or it didnt happen.)
