I'd hardly call that cleared. He had the state pay $millions in taxpayer money to a private firm that he was had ties to for years to have them do an assessment.
Surprise ... they took the money also wrote a report vindicating the boss.
I doubt anyone will be able to pin this on Christy in a criminal sense but I think it has sunk his national fast-track for sure.
Besides I've always felt Christie was overhyped. The folks at Fox, CNN, MSNBC all make SUCH A BIG DEAL about Christie this and Christie that for 2016. Do people in GA, TX, SC, MI, CA, UT, WI, anywhere else.... care about this guy that much? He's a local governor.
The logic goes that all these new reporters care about Christie because they are based out of NY and they assume the rest of the country's Republicans care about Christie as well. Do they really though?
