I am looking forward to getting back up there at the end of the month. I will probably tour the park and then start working up some trails.

Will do - right now we are planning to be there between 8-9a on Sunday, Feb 28th. Usually I prefer to wheel at least a half day since it is a bit of a drive but normally I have trailered a rig up there. Do you know if the park still has an air compressor for airing back up at the gate? I have a small compressor for the trail but it is not near as quick as the big ones.

Yes sir, they have a really nice compressor/tank up front, with 2 hoses, takes me about 30 secs per tire to air back up.
It's supposed to be near 80 degrees this weekend, I might have to head back out there again, the 21st.
Is anyone coming with you on the 28th?

Yeah; have 2-3 guys from TOR coming. One more is a maybe; we are installing his lift this weekend on a 2nd gen Taco. Should be less than 6 rigs with all the drivers with more than a 4 years of off road experience.

Hey I was looking at your thread over at TOR and I gotta say, I think this is a really dangerous mount location.
On the crash test videos I've seen, the dummy driver's head always goes forward and left.
I think you need to seriously think that through.
This is why I never have knives or flashlights mounted on the dash or anywhere in front of me.

I have thought about the crash test dummy effect a bit as well. It is farther away from my head than it looks; but I am probably going to put in a 2nd Ram mount on the lower bolt as well for hwy use. Then I will use the higher ball of off road nav use. I think for low speed use it will be okay.

Looks like 4 guys from TOR will be there. One of the rigs is a dedicated trail rig and more than capable of recovering anyone.

Talking about the Jambo in May? Think a couple of the TOR guys are headed over on Friday. I plan to be there Thursday but might have to change those plans based on PTO time.
