Brights Don't Work

I have a 94' runner that i've had for about a year. After purchasing it i found out that my high beams dont work. Whenever i Click them on my headlights completely go out. The low beams are fine, it's just the highs. Ive replaced the bulbs, checked my fuses and tried to locate the problem myself, but cant find it. I really wanted to avoid having to pay 90 dollars an hour for an mechanic/electriacian guy to look at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have my wiring diagrams handy, but there may be another fuse in the engine bay, also there may be a relay that is bad.
Get a FSM or equivalent with the wiring diagrams.

missing high beams

yeah, i have an '87 with the same problem. i have to kind of slap my high beam switch to get the to work, but then some times they go out on there own. to the best of my knowledge, the switch is the handle to the left of your steering wheel, and as far as i know they are about $150 to replace.
