Broke down on highway-Please help!

Hey guys,

I really need some help right now. My Camry started losing power on the freeway, so we pulled over to diagnose. The automatic transmission is now slipping and won't engage in any gear, and will grind whenever I put it into park. I checked the transmission fluid but am not getting a consistent read. I think I might be low.

On a related note, I just replaced the radiator. I'm seriously hoping I didn't somehow mess up the two transmission fluid lines at the bottom, but I'm pretty confident that they are connected properly and not leaking.

Thank you all very much!!

Check the coolant to see if there is transmission fluid mixed in. Doesn't sound like a roadside viable repair either way. Grinding and slipping from an automatic transmission is a bad thing.

Luckily I wasn't too far from home, so my girlfriend picked me up. I went back to try and revive the transmission, but no luck. I added fresh ATF, and it still wouldn't catch any gear, not even park! I had it towed to the local shop, and now I wait to hear the news.

Sigh, nothing like the feeling of burning up $2,000 if I messed up the radiator install
