Broken end-links

So I noticed a rear clunk after a recent road/campign trip and the rear end link is broke.

Anything I should know/prepare for with this job (especially for a relatively rusty truck?).

Also, I see Detroit axle 4-pack of end-links for $40 on Amazon. Seems like a good deal. Any reason to NOT go with these?

I would go to O'Reilly's and pick up their Import Direct line. They are nice, and quite reasonably priced, front and back.

My recommendation for a rusty truck (ask me how I know...) go ahead and try it with wrenches, but you might as well bring the sawzall to the game. You're probably going to need it.

For rusty nuts and bolts I like Aero Kroil penetrating fluid and cycling of heat. I use a heat gun for heat, then let it cool. The heat cycling helps the Kroil do it's job.

+1 on the aero kroil, i would start super soaking your fasteners in it a day or two before hand, and keep applying every 12 hours.

i am also wondering about detroit axle, had it recommended by a friend but never heard of them before that
