Broken Mirror.

Do you guys know where can I get replacement left side mirror glass?
Some idiots decided to play baseball Friday night and broke everyone’s mirrors including my 04 4Runner's, though kudos to 4Runner the only thing that broke is mirror glass.

Is that a heater element I can see behind the glass? If so I would try Partznet as well.

Yes thats right. I actually saw Partznet price too and now have a dilemma of getting non heated mirror glass from http://automirrors.net/ for 30$ and applying old heating element to it or this one for 106$.

The decision factor will probably be the order time, http://automirrors.net/ already replyed that it will take 2 weeks and I am still wating reply from Partznet how long it will take them to ship it.

Maybe try PMing PARTZNET from here if they are not coming back to you soon enough.

Can you apply new glass to old element - I would be worried about it cracking on cold days if the glass was not designed for a heated system.

http://automirrors.net/ themselves suggested to just apply heateing element to the glass they are going to ship, so I guess its termal except comes without heating element underneath.

that's what i did with the replacement mirror i got from them. i scratched up the plastic on the element a little in the process of removing the broken glass from it but the elements themselves were undamaged and the mirror worked just fine.

I know you RIGHT! I have the SR5 black, non-heated mirrors. I am not going to pay over $100-$125 per mirror for a color keyed heated one either!

Detatching Heating Wires

Hi all, anyone know how to detach the heating wires from the mirror? I have a new replacement but it seems to take a different bracket. I ordered mine from Burco.

How did you scratch up the plastic backing on the heating element?

Here is what I have going on with my mirror. The wires are soldered to a heating pad like thing that seems to be sponge like.

Thoughts anyone?
