Broken piece on headlights

I wanted to retrofit my headlights, but mine were really cracked, so I purchased some OEM headlights. One came in the mail perfectly fine, but the other had this little broken piece. It shattered into small pieces so it would be hard to glue back together. Does anyone think it should be fine installing it with the broken tab? I have filed a claimed with Fedex to see if I can buy another one.

There’s 3 screw mounts if I remember correctly , so u might be ok. Give it a try and see how it looks.

I have this strange craving for grapes all of a sudden

i return it for another side, is this oem or aftermarket?

full pair of new oem housings are only 475-500 to your door.

They are oem. I'm in the process of filing a claim with Fedex. I bought the headlights from toyotapartsestore.com, and they have a policy that anything damaged was the carrier's fault. Pretty much no reason in returning it cause I won't be refunded.

Are they brand new? I solely use Fedex at work (in a parts dept.) As long as you take pictures of the headlights, and show the position in the box (assuming the box was damaged where that corner was positioned) you should be good to get a claim.

If they are used, however, you'd have better luck finding Bigfoot than getting Fedex to pay up - from personal experience.

They are brand new and there are several holes punched around the box. I paid $177 for each. I was planning on doing the retrofit soon, but I guess I'll be waiting until I figure this out.

Since they're brand new, I would definitely hound FedEx about the box. Toyota is kind of specific about their boxes. If there is damage, and they can reasonably fix it, they even put a "certification sticker." God forbid they get dealer returned parts back in a messed up box though.

Anyway, with that in mind, there is no way they would send a box with holes in it to their dealers for resale. Never seen one through my parts department like that. Hope all works well for you.
