Broken Sparkplug, Please help!!!

Just like to say Hi to all I am glad that I found this forum.

I just bought a 94' 4rnr, V6 with the manual trans. I was doing

some regular maintenance on it change fluids, wires, cap, rotor,

and sparkplugs. Everything was going pretty good, I had

changed 5 of the 6 plugs when I got to the drivers side rear plug

it was pretty hard to turn, well about 1 1/2 turns out the darn

thing broke flush at the bottom of where the socket grabs

leaving the threads behind almost all the way in, the ceramic

insulator in the center came all the way out so now I have what

looks like a smooth sleeve inside there. Went to autozone and

got some penatrating oil and an easy out soaked what was left

in the spark plug hole overnite and went out this morning put

the easyout in with a 3/8 socket and a very long extension with

a breaker bar. Once it grabbed I started to apply more and more

pressure gradually until I actually twisted the extension at one

end almost breaking it, by the way it is an 3/8 extension.

Has anybody had this happen or know of this happening?

What should I do, remove the head, try and drill it out in place?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to let everyone know I finally got the sparkplug out, thank

god :awais: all I did was went back to autozone and got

some "PB Penatrating Catalyst" sprayed it on the stuck piece

and waited for about a half hour and it came right out.

For those of you that do your own maintenance and for those

who don't make sure when you change plugs or for that matter

use any steel bolts into aluminium make sure you or your

mechanic use antisieze. If i could not have removed the plug it

would have cost me over $300 in parts to do it myself and my last

quote from the local shop was over $1000 just becouse whoever

owned this thing before me would not use $5 worth of antisieze.

FYI all the machine shops I called said that it is real common on

Toyota's.

Glad it came out! Yeah, like fourwd1 said, removing the head is the best way to fix that.

Yeah, anti-seize is good stuff!
