broken vanity mirror because of dealer

So around two years ago I took the 4runner in to get the sunroof fixed under warranty and thought everything was fine... then a few days ago i open up the vanity mirror for the first time since then and see that my mirror is shattered! There is no way I could have busted the mirror unless it was purposely done. I'm thinking when they took apart the ceiling and visors one of the guys accidently busted it somehow. Do you guys think the dealer will replace it since it was without a doubt their doing? I still have to get some things fixed like the rubber weather strip sticking out, vibration noise when the sunroof closes, rattling in the sunroof when the rear window is down, and trying to get the sulfur smell fixed again(they replaced only 1 cat)... they're a good dealer, but it's a pain when their people get clumsy like this.

Since it's been two years, I would be really surprised if they will fix it for you. Usually the statute of limitations runs out as soon as you drive off the lot.

If you've got a great relationship with that dealer, they value your business, and you're having other work done at the same time, then maybe they'll take care of you. It would help if it's still under warranty and they could file a warranty claim for it.

Probably not being as it's been two years, good relationship or not. They wont feel liable at all knowing that much time has passed and wondering what might have happened in that span of time that you were not aware of.

If they dont, at least it's an inexpensive part you can replace, not like a sunvisor will kill the budget lol.

You can always ask, but after two years, I don't think you have a chance. If it were only two days, maybe...

2 years ago = I wouldn't waste your time and theirs trying. It sucks, but think of it from their POV.....they have NO idea what you've done to the vehicle in 2 years.
