Got an accident with my truck last year. The truck almost tip over but it hit a wall so it went straight up again. My insurance got it fixed an it cost almost $15000CDN, now its all good. Thanks to the grille guard or else the whole front end could have been damaged when i hit the snowbank but my grille guard was push in and bent a bit, insurance replace it .Heres a pic of it.

I have the same one, it was a stock Toyota option on the Sport editions. I bought mine from a guy who had upgraded to a TJM.

You should be able to get a price from Toyota for it. If it's for insurance purposes you will probably get a REALLY high quot from 'Yota. I only paid $50 for mine, and it came with the tail light guards.

Yap,esp. when i get into rough road and sometimes the grille guard would hit the body. I like the look of the aries compare to the manik brand but manik is better constructed and better powdercoated. I had the aries for one year and it started to rust already but my manik still looks brand new and i have it on the truck for a year now.

Interesting. I called Toyota and they said they know of no such option.

weird,
maybe it's dealer option that they do. I didn't buy it new, but the guy I bought the guard from said it came on the 4Runner when he bought it brand new. I also see so many of them around, that are driven by soccer moms, and older people, and I find it tough to believe they all added them aftermarket. Perhaps it's just something a few dealerships add to make them look better. Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase.

Very good points. No troubles at all. I have some quotes from some local shops anyways. Lots of options here in Calgary.

Just dont use it,I didnt use mine. Its suppossed to be screwed on where you put your foglights(On the grille guard). well, if you decided to put one and the license plate hole in the front bumper.
