That grey looks great with the sport. It matches the tubes and the roof rails nicely!

Don't you guys get snow and rock chips in In?

In Alberta, our 12 months old SE is riddled with rock chips in the front and sides.

Im not a brush guard fan on the 4th gen at all. I like the center part , just not the light guards, the look like wings to me.

I must admit the gray color match looks awesome. I also think color matched to the vehicle would look great.

There was someone on here with a white 4R and an ARB bumper powder coated white . It looked so tough.

Thanks, we took it to a local powder coat shop and had them do it. They did a really good job matching everything even the texture. I posted all info. in a previous thread somewhere on here, but if you are interested here it is again. The second pic gives you a better idea of what the texture is like.

We do get some snow but not to bad, we are in the Southern most part of IN (dam near Kentuckians ). As for the rock chips, my wife does mainly all city driving, so no major issues with that. Although we do have to contest with the dam coal trucks when we go to visit her parents :upset: :cursin:

IMO these brushgaurds make an already bulky front end look even more bulky. I'd like to see more of a prerunner type bar on a 4runner. Anyone have one of those or are they not made for the 4runner yet. I've seen them on tacomas.

There is a factory bar from Toyota that I have seen on several sport edition 4runners. There is an 05 on autotrader for sale right now with one of them on it. I think they look good.

FYI, it's plastic and will shatter with its first parking encounter. $500 MSRP accessory from Toyota, plus 4 holes in the bumper cover if it's ever removed.
