Brush Guards

I live in an area with tons of deer. I'd like to get a brush guard for my TE. Does anyone know if there are any made that are compatible / fit the 5th generations?

According to Westin's website ,they have grill guards that fit 2010's.
Don't know anyone that bought one yet though.

Thanks Mike, that is what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure I like that particular one. I'm looking for one that would wrap around the sides a bit more. It's hard to tell from that would wrap.

A brush guard may cause more damage when you hit something since it spreads out the impact and does very little for actual protection against anything much stiffer than some brush.

some do a good job and some make the situation worse.

i've seen first hand what happens when a deer hits a grille guard. my buddy and I were coming back home from a weekend of camping and fishing when a deer jumped infront of his truck and got nailed.

there was no damage to his truck other than some blood splatter and the left side light guard bending a bit.

the truck was a chevy silverado with an aries grille guard.

i have heard from many people that having a grille guard is worse but i disagree and plan on putting one on my 4R when they are available.

There currently is nothing available for the 2010 Toyota 4runner. I have contacted WAAG, Aries, and Westin and so far all I get is "it is in development."
I am sure a bull bar or more generic straight bar could be refabricated to work, but a more profiled one like the ones built for the M-Class will be a while yet.

There may be a few instances that the brush guard did more damage, but you hit a 200lb whitetail or 400lb black bear at 70mph and you don't want something in front to absorb that impact. I guess it depends on where you live.

I have just recently contacted WAAG again in reference to a product line for the 5th gens...no luck.
I like the way the WAAG bumper runners looked on my 4th gen.
I cant give money away...well, towards a relevant product for my 5th gen.
