BudBuilt skid with diff drop?

Is anyone running the front BudBuild skids and the diff drop? It doesn't seem like there is enough clearance for it and I don't really want to shim the skid to make it fit but wouldn't mind to get my cv angles a little better. I push this thing pretty hard off road and anything to help my cv's not snap is probably beneficial. Thanks guys.

I heard that they can be installed on a diff drop because it's a popular mod. And on pics i notice bud skids looks lower then others.

Since you have the skids on there is there any way to measure the gap as it sits with the skids in place?

I think BB's webpage says you need to get skid spacers if you run a diff drop...but that could just be that he's erring on the side of caution. Perhaps physically measuring the amount of clearance you have on your truck would be best.

the ones i have seen require a skid spacer when you install a diff drop. Many of us in the Gen4 world don't use the diff drops like the Gen3 guys. They just don't seem to help to the same point as the Gen3 guys.

If you end up using a sway bar spacer you might need skid spacers too.

I now see that on his site he does say you would have to run spacers on the skids to fit the diff drop. I'm not willing to lose ground clearance just to drop my diff one inch. I guess well just see how much abuse these cv's can take. Thanks for the reply guys.

I'm pretty sure a few guys run 'em. IIRC, Javelin is running that setup.
