porter cable 7424 more than enough to do your detailing job and wont break your wallet.
dont forget to get some good polishing pads and compounds.

i got the 7424 also, but didnt buy it from Griots, when i looked, they wanted $200 for it, got mine at Home Depot for $100.

Porter Cable 7336SP (same as the 7424 but with a 6" counterweight). Got it at Lowes about 6 years ago for a little over $100.

I recently bought a new 7424 on eBay with the variable speed (maybe they all have this?) for $117.29 shipped. Can anyone recommend the best pads to also purchase for it?
