Bug shield/deflector?

My truck had one on it when I bought it, and it made the back of the hood flap around at highway speeds like it was trying to come off. Taking that thing off was the best thing I ever did. Maybe the issue I had is specific to a certain brand, but it was certainly the problem.

I had that issue. Your hood lock needs to be adjusted.

It was the back of the hood near the windshield that was flopping around. I pulled on it and it felt pretty solid. :shrug:

Just out of curiosity...did you ever find out what was wrong? I have the same problem with mine, noticed this on highway speeds
