Bug shield recommendation

By lower profile do you mean it doesn't stick out much? By the way nice looking rig. Are you thinking of adding the TRD Pro grille?

Closer to the hood methinks...see photo and compare for yourself... almost disappears

Thanks for the complements...

Not going the Pro grill way....

Does the Weathertech wrap around the hood more then the oem? It looks like it does. What is preventing you from the Pro grill? I see a lot of people who are doing that on this forum. Some say it is butt ugly while others love it.

Is that a big ol pimping Lincoln in your garage?

manofsteele2003,
Since you asked....
It is a Town Car.... never any pimps in it though. Owned it since it was new off the lot with 2 miles on it.
That thing is smoooooth as glass on the highway and paint!
For a large car, it will put a smile on your face when you mash the skinny pedal. Really good MPG when loaded down & on a long haul too. :biggrin2:
Too bad they quit making the large Lincolns...bad decision, the small ones don't have near the ride quality....IMHO!

You think we hijacked the OP's thread?

Yeah I rented a couple while on vacation before, sure don't make them like that anymore. Speaking of the skinny pedal, I smoked a guy in a civic with some cheesy ricer exhaust on it. The look on his face as I passed was priceless.

Hijacked a little yes ;)

The more and more I look at it now the bug shield looks ugly. Thanks everyone. Maybe if I happen to walk past one in person I'll change my mind.

I bought an AVS for my 2008. I had to remove the grill to install. Then when I went to put it back on, it does t fit how it is supposed to. It actually has to sit on the hood. I took it back for exchange thinking it was cut wrong. The new one was the same way do I left it....for now.

Um really? The oem one is $100. I've learned over the years the phase "you get what you pay for" stands very true.

Actually Weathertech for a 2014 like yours is only $59.95 on weathertech.com.
autoanything.com sounds like a ripoff to me.

Just got my weathertech from 4wheel parts. Easy install and did come with bumpera but the shield is pretty firm so I dont see it making contact at all. We just had a 4wheel parts expo so got mine for $50 shipped but that was an event price.

I bought the AVS Bugflector II from Amazon.
No clips to damage the paint, installs in about 5 minutes.
Also, no wind noise or weird vibration at 80+ mph.
I believe it is less expensive than all the other shields too.

Let me know if you want any close up shots or specific angles.
I can take them this weekend and send them.
Can you post a picture of the manufacture marking (logo) on the deflector if there is one.
Thanks

I paid $48.69 for the AVS shield on Amazon with free shipping during my Amazon Prime trial. Awesome fit and finish. The raised AVS "pillow" logo peels right off. The etched logo is barely visible. I'm not sure how the OEM version would be worth twice the price.

That actually looks nice from that angle. Why did you choose them vs AVS or OEM?
