That looks very close to the hood. How does it perform?

well, it protects the leading edge obviously. Right now i've got a rock ding about one inch above it. I suppose this could happen with any bug/rock deflector. I like it because it overall does the trick and doesn't stick out.

BTW, do you think HID bulbs replacing your factory bulb is illegal?

Mine work great and I have not been flashed by anyone so why would they be illegal.

Did you need help installing the HID's? I guess I'm not sure what your asking here. Sorry.

After viewing many options I decided against it. I like the Weathertech since it wraps around the entire hood just about. The Toyota doesn't.

I just installed the AVS bugflector II and it fit my 2016 trail perfect. Looks great too. I had some reservations going in, but you can't beat the price. As long as you make sure you are ordering the correct one, it seems to be pretty legit.
