Build Thread Etiquette

I'm looking to start a build thread to more or less document the progress of my newly acquired 3rd Gen 4runner. I am slightly confused as to whether folks are posting threads at the beginning or end of their build? I've done some searching prior to this post in an effort to mitigate my noobness, but it looks like some peeps post at the beginning of their build, while some start their thread after many mods. If this has already been addressed in a previous post...please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I would start one once you have a mod to put in it. You can do what you want of course, but I just skip over the ones with no mods, we all know what stock 4runners look like.

Thanks Ripcord, I've been lurking around your build thread for few months before picking up my 4runner. I really dig your ride man!

I'm waiting for some final goodies to come in this week for a complete tune-up, all-fluids changed, B&M external trans cooler, extended rear diff breather, TRD TB "O" gasket, and an aux fuse box for some other forthcoming mods. So I think when I get all that done I will get a build thread going.

Another question if you don't mind....

I went on the Toyota site to see what previous records were available/service history, but nothing shows when I run the VIN. However, there are three stickers on the timing belt cover from Toyota indicating 3 timing belt replacements??

Will I get better info if I go to the dealer and have them check? I was also wondering about the rear spring recall....that doesn't show up either when I run the VIN on their recall site. Thanks again.
