I like the CBI front bumper, that's my choice as well
I think the grill glow is awesome, I think it gives it much more char.
What kind of sliders are those?? those would be perfect for my use. I hope mass produced and not custom one-off's

I understand having the right kind of tires for situations your in. I'll be going wide as I have dirt/mud/rock... but I know the narrow can be much better in snow/ice conditions.

Sorry but those Sliders are a One-off. Cheaper that way up in Alaska sometimes and not deal with shipping costs. For the most part they're pretty easy to make if your fab guy has the right tools. If you search around there are many who can make them, in any way you want. I like these... very robust!

I went with the narrow due to less weight and the mountain \ dirt road driving I perfer to do. I normally switch to winter tires, but my brother needed them more the I did, so I gave them to him to get through the winter on this truck. I plan on getting another set and keep these for summer time.

I just got some parts in so I have a project that I have to finish with those digital gauges. If it all works, I think it will be pretty cool!

Many Thanks! I love this country up here! Some of the best country ever. Though I see you guys down in other states driving free over all kinds of country, I'm kind of jealous. Up here more and more roads are getting closed off it's sad. Between the federal gov. greenies, or the native associations there's nothing left to drive on. :mmph:

Beautiful. My FIL moved to Soldotna this past summer for a job in Sterling. We plan on making the trip up to visit next Spring or Summer.

Small updates....

Got my Front Swaybar End Links Installed and new Bushings added. I feel it rides and turns much better. The old ones were both bent!

One step closer to my custom gauge cluster. If this holds up, I'll make a proper back plate for them so it's nice and clean. Left is cabin temp, the middle will be Coolant Temp (once I get the correct adapter fitted into the radiator hose) and the right is Engine Compartment Temp (back by the firewall)

Finally got my Breather Mod done.... (why do I wait so long with the simple projects?!?!?!?!)

As with most everything, I like to be different. Instead of going to behind the Gas Door, I wanted something inside. It's nice that Toyota put a grommet right where I wanted it.

Really seemed like this spot was made for this Mod....

And you wouldn't see anything different with the carpet unless you knew where to look!!

Like so many have said before me, I love what you've done with your rig. I've got a black 2000 SR5 and can't wait to get rid of all the chrome on my bumpers! I really like how you've kept a clean but aggressive look. I also want to say thank you for all the different pictures you've posted of your front bumper. I'm trying to decide between the CBI and the Shrockworks right now. I like the look of the Shrockworks a little more, but the cost and build time of the CBI is tough to argue with... Any complaints with your CBI?

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was up on the Slope for a while. I loved the Shrockworks bumper but the cost was too much. I really like the CBI bumper. I've gotten a lot of comments on it. I did hear they changed the front skid plate a bit (welded it on, instead of bolted on). I heard it was much harder to install the winch with the welded on plate. There has been talk about some of the bolt holes not lining up, but everyone matched my truck perfect. I would double check the status of their front plate and say go for it.

Been so long since I've updated this.... WOW! Ok... So I had a chance to get my hands on an upgraded Alternator. It's either a 240 or 250 amp. I emailed DC Engineering for info and never got a response, even though I was on the phone and they were more then helpful.. So I'll call again. I didn't NEED it, But for $150 for a new powerful Alternator I couldn't pass it up. Normally it's $550 I think.

Also, rebuilt my Grill Guard.

Rounded some edges, thickened up the divider... just made it more up to date and make it flow a bit better.

My kid's on her Jeep has had more use them mine! I'm ashamed that I might be turning into a Mall Crawler. (Or I could say I'm such a bad ass that I never need it....)
