Thanks man! The add-a-fuse is to provide 12v power to the switch, so when the switch is pressed, it sends 12v to the relay which allows the power to flow from the battery to the compressor. I decided to have this 12v be tied into the fuse panel because I wanted the compressor to be operated when the vehicle is on. As it is set up, it won't run when the 4R is off. You could also run a wire directly from the battery to supply the 12v for constant power.

I knew nothing about it other than the basics of connectors, etc. After researching the topic more on this forum, asking other members questions via private messages, and watching some how to YouTube videos, I have gotten pretty good at it! Start slow, and work through things one section at a time. Leave some extra wire, always. And think through what you want to get done! And beer, always beer. (it's a theme on my build page...)

ARB Compressor Update
This weekend I had my first chance to do a full 4 tire air up after a dirt road adventure. 20psi in the fronts and 18psi rear (I was unloaded). Took about 15 minutes from pulling over to driving away, about 2 minutes per tire airing up to 40 on all 4 corners. The ARB compressor held up perfectly, and didn't run too hot either. For my 275/70R17 tires, this set up works exactly as I need it, and even with 33's I think I will be more than equipped for the job. Happy I spend less on a still great product. I decided to use a Blue Ridge Overland Gear packing cube for my "air bag". It fits the ARB hose perfectly!

Im literally planning a camping trip with my brother in law and our sons for late July because of your Instagram feed. These look like remarkable weekends away enjoying time with friends and loved ones.
What can you tell me about the road conditions to reach these destinations?
Anyone point you would recommend over another?
Were coming from SLO, do you stay north or south of Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd?
A weekend trip isn't complete without scouting for new campsites. This one is definitely saved for a future adventure :thumb3:

That's awesome to hear, I am glad that some of my feed has inspired a family adventure! That's what I aim to help others with, so it's good to hear it's working! Thank you!
The road conditions are dusty this time of year, but I was in 2HI the entire time, with the exception of a few optional sections that I did for fun in 4LO, I will have a small video clip of that here later tonight. There is a lot of camping available off of South Coast Ridge Road, south of Nacimiento/Fergusson (You cannot venture north, last I was there. Closed gate). Check it out on a map, and you will see where I am talking about. The most popular section up there is the famed Prewitt Ridge, which is a beautiful spot. But because Big Sur's campgrounds become more and more crowded and harder to reserve, people head for Prewitt Ridge because it's free to stay and there aren't reservations. While the road is a bit rougher than I would want to travel out there if I owned a Jetta or a Minivan, there are those who make the trek out there. Long story short, is that it's very beautiful up there, but it can get crowded. The good part is that there are so many places and potential campsites up there to discover and explore, it's kind of a personal preference, just keep driving until you find a spot you like!
A few things to keep in mind up on the ridge:
- No running water
- No bathrooms (you need to either carry or bury, no on-the-ground TP nonsense)
- Currently there are no fires permitted on NF land in that area. I met up with and had a conversation with a NF Fire Fighter up there this weekend, and it is a zero tolerance policy right now.
- Stay on the marked roads, and off of the grass areas. Generally only drive where it is obvious to drive.
- Pack it in, pack it out. Leave nothing behind.
I say all of this not to sound harsh, but last time I was up on Prewitt, I was talking to another NF Officer who was mentioning to me that they were considering shutting down Prewitt Ridge and other accessible campsites up there due to growing popularity and misuse of the land. So I tell this to everyone that I talk to about staying on non-regulated public land, basically so it doesn't eventually get ruined for the rest of us.

It is great! Very well built and when used with the single compressor it doubles as a platform for an aux. fuse panel! I really like the location, and the build quality. Worth a look for sure.

FYI.. Break one of the bulbs off on the map lights and you're screwed.. Wonder how much Toyota is going to bend me over to replace the map light socket.. UGH..
Needle nose pliers? Tiny potato?
I tried the tape method they used in the video, it's so darn hot here, the tape just wouldn't stick. I finally broke down and was using pressure by pushing against the side and trying to grab it and it broke. I then had to use pliers to try to get out and it broke all the way off.. Used a tiny long nail and dug out all the pieces and believe it or not, finally got all the old bulb out, the new one in and it worked!! I took the shiny shield out thinking I'd have more access, which was a huge mistake. Got it back in, but it looks like crap, but with the covers on it, you can't see it.. Everything else went really well.. Want to do back up lights next. VERY relieved..
