Holy hell, I feel like I just got done watching the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan. This build is intense!! I've already knocked out a few of them on my own, but there are many more I want to explore after reading through this. And I've been thinking of swapping over to the TRD Pro wheels, but you've made me rethink this since you've been running the stock trail wheels this whole time. Have they held up looks-wise?

Me too! I just ticked over 63k last weekend coming back from the Eastern Sierra.

Welcome to the world of modding your Toyota, where the possibilities are endless and the budgets don't matter! I have really enjoyed the stock wheels, and functionally I can't think of a good reason to swap them out. Sure, they weigh a little more, but they're plenty strong, wide enough to run most tires without issue and they protect the factory TPMS stem. And I like the look... I'd rather throw a grand at something else on the 4Runner.
As for how they look, they show some scars from use, but nothing too bad!

Rear Differential Breather(s) Relocation
I just did this mod this morning over a cool, refreshing Sierra Nevada Summer Fest and I’m now ready for some water crossings! I also may have just opened a second one... oops!
My plan was to run it into the engine bay in case any diff fumes decided to filter their way up the hose, but in playing with the idea of your install I accidentally pushed the rubber grommet out while poking around in the tire jack storage.... so I just went with that, instead.
I popped the bumper off just enough to get access to the hole and slathered the tubes with electrical wire lube and it all went in fairly easy. I didn’t replace the grommet, but I will probably shoot a layer of mastic around the tubes from the inside to seal everything up.
The hardest part for me was getting the hose length correct for the locker. I cut the damn thing about 10 times before I finally felt comfortable with the end result (the attached pic shows how it was bending the locker tube). Before that, it was either too close to the heat shield or it was bending the existing hose over and possibly pinching it closed. No buneo! I finally got it just right, so I’m content.

Excellent! You might notice some minor gear oil fumes in specific scenarios, but it's usually pretty quick to dissipate. And the measuring skills tend to diminish with the amount of beer consumed :thumb3:

When you bring the new truck home, and the lift gate doesn't clear the overhang... Custom limiting strap, installed. Uses a Nite-Ize CamJam XT on the d-ring in the corner, and a carabiner attached to the lift gate strap.
