Built up V8 MPG's

I've seen a few mpg threads here and there but they rarely keep the variables consistent, so it's almost like comparing apples to oranges. I'd say I'm about half way up the "mod ladder", and I feel like I'll need to invest in my own gas station by the time I'm done lol. Anyways, the general consensus is that weight and tires are the mpg killers, so in order to control the variables, you must have a V8 and at least 5 of the 6 listed below:

Aftermarket Front Bumper
Aftermarket Rear Bumper
Full Skids
Sliders
Roof Rack
"Aggressive" Tires
Any other item that may substantially affect your mpg - must list what it is

I'm looking forward to seeing where folks are clocking in. To make things uniform, let's post as follows:

2003 Limited - 140,xxx miles
~14mpg
Front bumper
Rear bumper

i actually get better than i did when i bought it. the dealer i bought it from replaced the factory iridiums with basic ngk copper cores at 77k miles. so i replaced them a couple months ago and gained about 1.5-2mpg from it and POOOWWWAAAAAA to boot. now its just a game to see how low i can go with a front bumper, regear/locker, and 295/70r17 St Maxx's planned for the near future. its like playing shitty limbo......

Getting about 11mpg in town, 13-ish minor highway... I get much better mileage when not using the ethanol crap in CA (best mpg in a long while was about 16-ish at 3000ft. In Bend, Oregon on)

that would force me to get rid of it. that's horrid.
 
What I have in in signature, my drive is about 95% highway. ~13.5mpg I haven't done the math to figure out how much the larger tires affect the mileage though.

To be fair I don't drive as much as you would think... Work is barely a mile away and I probably drive about 5, maybe upwards of 10miles a day or so (going to grab lunch.) I do go into SF (so crap traffic) every other week so that's maybe 40-50ish miles round trip? So I'd say that's probably not bad with how little it gets driven. (I don't get out much anymore in the past few years besides occasional off-roading trips to Hollister or once in a blue moon to the Cabin/Mountains.)

That being said, I'm sure the mileage would be a bit better with better fuel. That 10-15% ethanol that goes in CA fuel hurts gas mileage. I was genuinely shocked by the fact I was pushing 16mpg up in Bend, Oregon at 3000ft highway driving (and I wasn't babying it for mileage either.)

The funny thing is that it gets about the same gas mileage now as my old '93 Chevy S10 Blazer; except it has more power, is more modified, and is over all a better vehicle. I knew I wasn't going to get great mileage when I bought it; but since the mileage was close enough to my old SUV it didn't bother me.

I take peoples MPG figures with a grain of salt when modded especially with bigger tires.

Do people factor in that their ODO is off with running bigger tires? That means you ODO will display LESS then what actually was driven. I am off by .1 miles when I drive 1 mile. Usually I have to add 30 miles or so to my total miles driven.

I get 15 mpg with my V6 and BFG 285/70/17 Muds on.

Yup, I use my GPS for Mileage. I fill up, check miles, divide it out for my actual mpg. I'm consistent unless offroad.

About to put on a Gobi rack which will just make GM even worse. I'm also going to put on an Oil/Water catch can. I don't really care about GM because it's not a daily driver, it's my toy.

yes, ive installed a speed healer which has been confirmed correct with GPS.
