My 98 Limited has both bumpers rotting away...can anybody offer advice as to a lower budget fix? Seen some of the incredible bumpers...but cost is an option.
I have access to metal and can weld fairly well...Thanks so much!!!

For a low budget, I'd probably look into a tube bumper with some plate incorporated or something. If you've got access to metal fabrication tools like a band saw and welder, I'd just build a plate one though.

Here's one I always liked. It looks simple enough...

i would search local salvage yard and look in craiglist in youre surrounding areas.also see if you have a certifit near you, they are always priced well.i have no certifit near me so im gonna buy a primered black aftermarket bumper off ebay and im just gonna rhino line it straight away to keep away the salt that they use on our roads here in ny,also aftermarket parts are always more prone to rust, thats why im rhino lining

shamless plug for I am getting a new bumper. and will no longer need my stock one. Front for now. I have a 00.

I doubt that tube bumper with the Bud Built skid is "low budget". My front bumper is shot so I'm getting a Certift for $58 - I'm sure you could get them to ship it to you for about $30 or less. It's not a $500 ARB but at least it's equal to the stock bumper. I'll get a valence from them too rather than going
to the stealer.

Hey..thanks so much....I am looking at fabricating a tube bumper...but a plate would probably be a bit easier. What is "Certfit"??
