Bumper Coating?

Wanted some opinions on what the best paint or coating would be for my Demello front bumper. I don't really wanna spend the money for a powder coat as the bumper cost me a small fortune already.

My brother's FJ bumper was powdercoated and after a couple years of rock chips and wear from on-road driving, the powdercoat is noticeably chipped off in flakes. No way to paint over it or touch it up or smooth it out without stripping everything off and starting over. Its probably impossible to touch-up powdercoat with spray paint and get the colors and textures to match.

I'm just going to spray paint mine to keep touch-ups simple. And its cheaper. It'll match my sliders that way too.

Any idea what kind of spray paint youre going to use?

I rattle can bumpers & sliders to be able to touch them up easily. I'm not picky about the paint since my stuff tends to get beat up.

I used VHT satin black epoxy for my sliders so that's what I'll use to match on my bumper, but just some rustoleum satin should work well and is probably a lot cheaper.

momo.75 you did your whole Demello bumper with that VHT paint a while ago right?

How is it holding up?

It is holding up pretty well. It has a few chips in it from the road. It had a few not too long ago which i just scuffed and hit again. Looks good as new.
