Bumper hoops on aftermarket bumpers

I have often considered doing my own hoop design for my 3rd Gen's Outodoor Logic bumper, but have always wondered exactly how the hoops attach to the bumper.

I know they're welded on, but are there any internal brackets/supports that give these things additional strength or is it a surface weld to the top of the bumper?

i dont know about others, but ARBs bumpers actually have holes in them, where the tubes go through and then are welded around at the deck, the tube acutally goes clear through the plate and is then welded again on the backside(under side) of the bumper -the part that you never see, so they are fairly strong. and the vertical uprights are apart of the mounting brackets.... the deck is cut out around these and then when its all assembled by ARB its welded up and made to be super strong as its not just plates being butt-welded, but actually more of a "X" weld -welded in the valleys to hold things better

[MENTION=60147]the kid[/MENTION] thanks man, that's exactly the type of pic I was looking for. It's definitely one of those "maybe someday"projects because I just don't have the resources to do it now, but thought it'd be a fun way to m make my odl just a bit more unique with custom hoops.
