Bumper Trim

Anyone know what the original color of the plastic trim on the bottom of the fron bumper? Mine looks like a dark gray, but I'm not sure if it came from the factory that way, or if it was black and has lightened up through the years.

I plan on painting the trim this weekend with the Duplicolor Trim Paint, and if this thing was black from the factory, I'll want to paint that too....

All the plastic was black at one time.

I plan on doing all the plastic (flares,rear sill,front valence) with the Duplicolor sometime but I need to find that time.

Yeah hopefully the weather will cooperate here. I might just start this afternoon.

Any tips on removing or hiding scuffs on the front valence? I had a license plate up there for years and it scratched the heck out of it. Now I don't need a license plate in the front, plus I think it looks cleaner. I'm afraid to paint it and still have it look like crap.....
