bumpstop upgrades?

When I first did my suspension upgrade, I thought I'd have to extend my bump stops about an 1" or so. So I just used some square 2" tubing as an extension. Would be pretty easy to do something similar with these too. Ended up scrapping the extensions before using them since they weren't needed.

3" lift looking to upgrade bump stops

Durobumps are $$$
$118 front & $177 rear

I see some Daystar and Energy options, kinda like the durobumps...

Didn't we used to have a member her making these? @plasticman ?

I was leaning towards Energy 8.9104G for frontand thinking about Lexus GX350/470 for the rear, like the 5th Gen guys

48306-60201 right

Anyone try using this setup on a 3rd gen?

EDIT: the Lexus PNs above are used by 5th Gen guys and won't work for 3rd Gen as pointed out by HiluxSurf SSR-G

You’re thinks of Plastics guy, and he is the one that makes durobumps. Plastics Guy 3rd gen Bump Stop Reviews!!!

Probably not a bolt-on one because the stock rear bump stop for the GX470 requires two bolts, one on each side.

The 1996-2002 4Runner rear bump stop has only one bolt, in the middle

100% correct!

I actually realized that shortly after posting but never circled back - I had been in the 5th Gen section lol and that seemed to be a factory-option for those trucks.

Regarding the 3rd Gen, this time, are the Energy 8.9104G (2.5" tall) an option for 3" lifted FRONT bumpstops?

I found a slightly taller Energy 9.9155G (3.4" tall) that looks to be an option for a 3-4" lifted REAR with the addition of a puck-like spacer to get it to 4-5" height.

Any thoughts or experiences with those options?
