I think it is funny that they are popping up at various dealers, even Carmax, yet my local dealer doesnt have any for sale.
I just called my two closest dealers with whom I have left my number and popped in to check on arrival date multiple times, only to have them say that 1 came in but it is already gone.
I knew that the first ones were presold, though I said I just wanted to see it in the flesh, and considering one is 5minutes from my office and the other 5minutes from home, it wouldnt take long to get there.
They arent trying very hard, specially considering the one dealer is where I bought mine and have had 100% of all maintenance incl all oil changes done over the last 4.5yrs. That said, even a $570 90,000mile service didnt qualify for a wash and vacuum, or a fill up on the windshield washer fluid, perhaps its time for a change of dealer...
By contrast, every time I take my BMW in, its washed and vacuumed, even though its 6yrs old, I didnt buy it there, and have never spent more the $90 a visit due to it being under warranty.
They also greet me by name. It makes you think.
